Job summary

Roof Above is seeking a Housing Navigator to assist guests in securing and maintaining suitable housing, with a focus on moving from dorm-like settings to stable housing. You will conduct assessments, coordinate services, and support participants toward employment and housing goals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two years’ experience as a case manager, ideally with homeless populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field and 2+ years’ experience as a case manager or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of homelessness issues, intervention techniques, and motivational interviewing.
• Strong written and oral communication; liaison with agencies and public.
• Ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Connect clients with housing resources, market-rate housing, and other options.
• Develop Individualized Service Plans for clients on caseload.
• Track progress and services for each client.
• Coordinate with shelter staff and community partners.
