Job summary

Bowery Residents' Committee is seeking a dedicated housing case manager to oversee an assigned caseload, meet with clients regularly, and ensure all housing files and reports are current. The role centers on client-centered service, securing entitlements, coordinating moves with landlords, and collaborating with DHS and other agencies to facilitate housing placements.

Experience with homelessness, strong writing and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office are required; bilingual

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Significant experience with homelessness and housing entitlements.
• Strong writing, communication, and group facilitation skills.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus; MS Office proficiency expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of an assigned case load with regular client meetings.
• Secure entitlements and coordinate housing interviews, vacancies, and moves.
• Maintain housing-related correspondence and liaise with DHS and other providers.
• Provide housing retention services and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
• Offer emergency first aid/CPR as needed; perform related duties.
