Job summary

Bowery Residents' Committee, Inc. seeks a dedicated case manager to support chronically homeless individuals in Manhattan, NY. You will conduct in-depth assessments, help clients overcome housing barriers, and coordinate with a network of services to secure entitlements and housing opportunities.

You will meet clients regularly, document progress, and liaise with clinical staff. CPR/first aid and bilingual skills are valuable assets for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; masters ideal.
• Excellent communication and writing skills required.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with case management systems.
• CPR training certification or willingness to take CPR class.
• Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive case management to identified chronic homeless individuals.
• Meet with clients regularly in the field and office; maintain up-to-date clinical files and reports.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify housing barriers and assist with entitlements.
• Develop individualized housing plans and coordinate with support services; prepare clients for housing interviews.
• Liaise with clinical staff and participate in case conferences; provide first aid/CPR or overdose protocol assistance when needed.
