Job summary

Bowery Residents' Committee seeks a dedicated case manager to assist clients with housing entitlements and related services in New York City. You will help clients secure subsidies, prepare for housing interviews, and coordinate appointments while maintaining required reports and data for funding sources.

The role emphasizes strong written and verbal communication, bilingual abilities, and CPR readiness. A background in homelessness services and health and safety training is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience processing housing applications (NYCHA, Section 8, NY/NY).
• Experience with homelessness, addictions, mental illness, entitlements and housing.
• Strong writing, communication and group facilitation skills.
• Computer proficiency required; CPR training or willingness to take CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in securing entitlements and establish savings accounts.
• Prepare clients for housing interviews and arrange housing appointments.
• Coordinate entitlement for clients and provide case management for caseload.
• Generate weekly internal reports and compile data for funding reports.
• Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
