Job summary

Father Bill’s & MainSpring in Brockton, MA is seeking a Housing Specialist to locate and secure housing opportunities for FBMS participants. You will work closely with landlords, property managers, and service partners to assess needs, coordinate viewings, and document progress.

This full-time, hourly role requires 2–4 years in housing or social work or a Bachelor’s in a related field; CPR certification is required and AED/First Aid may be required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of housing or social work experience or a Bachelor’s Degree.
• CPR certification is required (provided by FBMS).
• AED and First Aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with referred households to assess housing needs, strengths, barriers, and budget.
• Provide outreach and assessment in the community as deemed necessary by supervisor or administrator.
• Network and maintain relationships with landlords, property managers, housing authorities, and social service organizations.
• Transport and accompany referred participants to apartment viewings and appointments as appropriate.
• Complete and maintain all necessary documentation for participant records and data entry.
