Job summary

Father Bill's & MainSpring is seeking a Housing Specialist in Brockton, MA to locate and secure housing for FBMS participants. The role requires building strong relationships with landlords, housing authorities and community partners, and maintains participant records with attention to detail.

The position demands 2-4 years of housing or social work experience or a related bachelor’s degree, CPR certification, and possibly AED/First Aid.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required and provided by FBMS.
• Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with referred households to assess housing needs, strengths and barriers and budget.
• Assist tenants with eviction processes and court updates as needed.
• Provide outreach and assessment in the community as deemed necessary.
• Network with landlords, property managers, housing authorities and social service orgs.
• Transport and accompany participants to viewings and appointments.
• Complete and maintain documentation for participant records.
