Job summary

Omni Homestead Resort & Spa is seeking a Housing Maintenance Engineer Supervisor to oversee maintenance across associate housing facilities. You will supervise a team, coordinate with trades, and ensure timely, safe repairs while adhering to Omni procedures and hotel standards.

The role requires prior building maintenance experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage work orders and emergencies efficiently on-site.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older with a clean driving record.

Overview:

To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained environment at all of our associate housing areas. This Housing Maintenance Engineer Supervisor works specifically at our multiple associate housing properties and reports directly to The Housing Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team
• Ability to communicate with or notify department/stakeholders throughout associate housing facilities regarding any shut downs, water back-ups, or failures that will impact the resort in a confident and professional manner.
• Must be able to create work orders in the appropriate Omni work request program.
• Ability to complete most general maintenance tasks.
• Maintain all non-trade mechanical items in associate housing rooms and public associate housing areas.
• Receive direction for calls via radio.
• Assists and coordinates with other trades for major repairs.
• Clean all work areas once job is complete.
• Aids in diagnoses of malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Uses a variety of tools and equipment including but not limited to power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
• Works with each department to assure emergency and safety work orders are handled promptly.
• Work on other equipment as needed.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.

• Telephone, photo-copying machine and PC.s

Working Environment:

• Interior of The Omni Homestead's various associate housing facilities. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Exterior of associate housing facilities with exposure to weather conditions.
• Exposure to various hazardous chemicals

Qualifications:

• Previous building maintenance experience required. Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be able to handle frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift.
• Required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property.
• Frequent bending and/or kneeling required.
• Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail.
• Must be 21 years or older and have a clean driving record
