Job summary

Omni Homestead Resort & Spa in Hot Springs, VA, seeks a friendly, motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee guest room cleaning operations and supporting staff. You will coordinate special projects with the Director of Housekeeping, ensure supplies and linens are stocked, and monitor PM/AM room status reporting while maintaining Omni standards.

The role requires at least one year of supervisory housekeeping experience, strong customer service, and clear English communication.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of supervisory/coordinating experience in Housekeeping.
• Ability to maintain high cleanliness standards (4-Diamond).
• Ability to work with management on special projects.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; safe, respectful conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assign special projects as directed by the Director of Housekeeping.
• Report needed repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms.
• Ensure attendants have supplies and linens.
• Assist in cleaning guest rooms when necessary.
• Process AM and PM room status reports.
• Maintain stock of linen carts and linen closets.
• Maintain supply cage stock; keep areas neat and organized.
• Punch in via phone after room completion.
• Inspect VIP rooms promptly; prioritize check-out/vacated rooms.
• Ensure safety and security of guests and associates.
• Inspect cleaning of guestrooms and public areas; foster teamwork.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.

Overview

• Assign special projects as directed by the Director of Housekeeping.
• Report any needed repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms.
• Ensure that all Guest Room Attendants have appropriate supplies and linens.
• Assist in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary.
• Assist in processing AM and PM room status reports.
• Ensure that the Guest Room Attendant's linen cart is neat and well organized.
• Ensure that linen closets on guest room floors are completely stocked.
• Maintain supply cage stock, neat and clean at all times.
• Must have all guest rooms punched in via the phone after completion.
• Ensure VIP rooms are inspected ASAP.
• Ensure check out/vacated rooms are a priority.
• Knowledge of hotel, facilities and events.
• To ensure hotel, guest and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environment.
• Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas. Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among co-workers. Treats co-workers fairly and equitably.
• Maintain a professional, neat and organized appearance according to Omni standards.
• Respond swiftly and effectively in any emergency or safety situations. Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury or accident.
• Attend all required department trainings and meetings.
• Perform any other duties required by management.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of prior supervisory/Coordinating experience in Housekeeping.
• Ability to maintain 4-Diamond level cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work with management on special projects.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates and guests in person or via a cellular telephone/radio.
• Prior housekeeping experience required or other relevant environmental services experience.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
• Must possess the ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.
• Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
• Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must meet standards of appearance and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all time.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Computer literacy to include Payroll systems
