Job summary

Tacoma Community College is seeking a Housing Justice Navigator to support students facing housing instability and basic needs challenges. This role focuses on individualized case management, resource navigation, and advocacy to promote persistence and completion.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Social Services, Human Services, Education, or related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• 2 years of experience providing case management, student support services, social services, resource navigation, or related services in educational or community settings.
• Experience conducting assessments, interviews, referrals, and support for individuals facing crisis or barriers to success.
• Experience using Microsoft Office 365 and electronic recordkeeping systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct student support and resource navigation to promote housing stability and basic needs security.
• Plan and deliver workshops and outreach activities related to housing stability and student success.
• Develop and maintain referral networks and partnerships with housing providers and community organizations.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with FERPA and college policies.
• Collaborate with campus departments and external partners to support student persistence and completion.
• Contribute to program assessment, reporting, and grant-related activities.
