Job summary

CAPECO Community Action Program of East Central Oregon is seeking an Intake Specialist to process client applications, determine eligibility for housing programs, and maintain accurate client records. The role involves entering data into our database, preparing utilization reports, and ensuring compliance with program requirements.

The position requires strong communication and attention to detail, with ability to handle multiple applications efficiently.

Qualifications

• A two year college degree or 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work independently with speed and accuracy.
• Must be able to transition between applications based on demand for services.
• Previous experience interviewing or determining client eligibility or working in customer service preferred.
• Computer experience with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process client applications and determine eligibility for housing programs.
• Maintain accurate client files with retained supporting documentation.
• Enter client information into database and prepare reports identifying numbers served and funding used.
• Work with clients to gather information and documents necessary to complete files.
