Job summary

BKF is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Housing Element Update and implementation efforts across California, the Bay Area, and LA metro corridors. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets, and guide clients through state housing law changes.

You will also drive community engagement, develop outreach materials with an equity lens, and support business development while traveling to project sites and offices as needed.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in community planning.
• Experience as Project Manager or lead on Housing Element updates.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager on Housing Element update and implementation projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and subconsultant coordination.
• Guide clients through HCD review cycles and evolving housing law requirements.
• Coordinate with planning, environmental, and engineering teams.
• Lead public outreach and engagement for Housing Element updates.
• Develop accessible outreach materials and apply equity considerations.
