Job summary

The Salvation Army ALM-Baton Rouge LA Corps in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a dedicated Housing Support Worker for a full-time role. You will assist residents with housing referrals, intake records, and daily statistics while managing service payments.

A high school diploma or GED plus two years in public service is required. Responsibilities include guiding residents through intake processes, coordinating with community agencies, and maintaining facility standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years' experience working in a social or public service environment with experience assisting the public.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Orients residents to the program and prepares intake records for case management; records daily statistics; processes service fee payments.
• Assists residents with locating affordable housing; provides referrals to other social service agencies as needed.
• Supervises and participates in cleaning and maintenance of facilities and equipment; inspects facility to ensure standards are met.
