Job summary

The YMCA of the North Shore is seeking a Housing Manager to oversee a new Gloucester location, ensuring housing compliance, managing occupancy and rent collection, and coordinating property operations. You will collaborate with the Housing team and Case Managers to support housing stability and connect residents with community resources.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in property management or affordable housing.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8, HUD and related regulations.
• Proficiency with property management software and MS Office/Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Demonstrated empathy and commitment to serving diverse, low-income populations.

Responsibilities

• Complete household recertifications on schedule, verifying income and household information.
• Oversee rent collection and monitor resident accounts.
• Manage occupancy and waiting lists, screen eligibility, and coordinate lease signings.
• Serve as primary contact for residents and partner with case managers to connect residents with resources.
• Coordinate with facilities and maintenance and assist with inspections and audits.
