Job summary

The City of Burbank is seeking an Assistant Community Development Director – Housing & Homeless Services to lead the housing and homeless services initiatives within the Community Development Department.

Responsibilities include directing programs (Section 8, HOME, CDBG), monitoring compliance, coordinating with partners, and guiding policy development and budgets. Requires strong leadership, experience in housing policy, and the ability to manage large projects.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of housing programs, landlord/tenant law, and compliance practices.
• Ability to analyze complex housing policies and develop effective solutions.
• Experience in managing multi-project housing initiatives and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Directs housing and homeless services programs within the department.
• Oversees Section 8, HOME, CDBG, and affordable housing projects.
• Monitors compliance, coordinates with partners, and manages budgets.
• Represents the department in policy discussions and public presentations.
