Job summary

The City of Turlock is seeking a Housing Program Manager to oversee and administer complex housing programs, budgets, and related regulatory compliance. The role involves coordinating with HUD, state and local agencies, supervising staff, and supporting policy implementation to advance community development goals.

This mid-management position offers exempt status under FLSA and requires leadership in planning, reporting, and collaboration with the City Council and department heads.

Qualifications

• Four years of increasingly responsible professional experience with a public agency in public administration, community preservation, housing program services or a related field and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, plans, develops, and implements strategies to achieve the City’s goals for local, state and federal programs related to community housing and economic development.
• Monitors compliance with regulations of HUD, HCD and related entities; oversees budget preparation, forecasting and funding.
• Supervises staff, evaluations, and staff development; builds effective relationships with staff, officials and the public.
