Job summary

City of Sandusky is seeking a manager to lead the Division of Code Compliance, oversee day-to-day operations, provide training, and guide housing, zoning, and nuisance initiatives. The role ensures compliance for residential properties and oversees rental registration programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in housing, zoning and nuisance inspections, construction, government housing programs, or equivalent experience.
• Supervisory experience is acceptable.
• Must read and interpret housing, zoning and nuisance codes.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, ordinances and wage regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day management and training to the Division of Code Compliance.
• Guide implementation of code compliance, zoning and nuisance initiatives.
• Ensure residential and dwelling unit compliance with housing, zoning and nuisance codes.
• Manage implementation and inspection of the rental and transient rental registration programs.
