Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Case Manager I to deliver holistic, harm-reduction case-management services focused on housing readiness, document gathering, budgeting, and coordinating housing options. The role includes visits, planning, and weekly CES housing match participation.

You will maintain records, support guests to obtain housing, and mentor staff as needed in a fast-paced shelter environment. On-site work requires empathy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• BSW or equivalent degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-year experience in case management with homeless populations.
• Experience with housing programs and landlord relationships is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, strength-based case management focused on housing readiness.
• Develop individualized housing plans and coordinate access to resources.
• Maintain case load, document in HMIS/CES/WellSky and communicate with supervisors.
• Assist guests with housing applications, document collection, and outreach to landlords.
• Support move from shelter to sustainable housing and participate in CES meetings.
