Job summary

YWCA Greater Cincinnati is seeking a housing case manager to support residents through individualized planning and HUD documentation. You will coordinate referrals across housing, legal, medical, counseling, and employment services with emphasis on domestic violence safety planning.

The role requires strong communication, ability to maintain confidentiality, and a trauma-informed approach to support diverse clients in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in human services, women’s advocacy, trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements an individual case plan for each resident with HUD paperwork.
  • Provides information and referrals across housing, legal, medical, counseling, and employment opportunities.
  • Offers information on domestic violence and safety planning for residents.
  • Works with landlords to promote supportive housing.
  • Maintains client data in accordance with YWCA policies.
  • Handles medical and psychiatric emergencies with Housing Manager.
  • Presents case management updates at scheduled meetings.
  • Provides transportation for clients to appointments.
  • Intervenes in conflicts between participants or with landlords.
  • Coordinates exit planning and aftercare up to 6 months post-exit.
  • Facilitates intake of new residents.
  • Answers the business line.
  • Dispenses bus tokens.
  • Trains volunteers and student placements.
