Job summary

YWCA of Charleston is seeking a full-time Case Manager to collaborate with domestic violence and homeless service providers. The role focuses on identifying eligible women for YWCA housing programs and helping them achieve residential stability by reducing the impact of abuse on their lives.

The position emphasizes safety planning, intensive case management, advocacy, and coordination with community services to support participants’ long-term self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Social Work, human services or a related field.
• Ability to develop safety and social service plans with participants.
• Two years experience with homeless populations or victims of domestic violence.
• Knowledge of domestic violence issues and social work ethics.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and update Victim Safety Plans.
• Plan and conduct meetings with service recipients.
• Develop social service plans to maintain self-sufficiency and update as needed.
• Document progress toward goals in case files.
• Write reports and maintain statistical information for funding agencies.
• Coordinate with other agencies and advocate for clients.
• Provide safety planning, crisis support, outreach, transportation and advocacy.
