Job summary

Catholic Charities Pittsburg is seeking a Housing Case Manager to assist homeless individuals in securing permanent housing and navigating essential services. This role focuses on advocacy, housing search, and coordination with local partners to ensure stable outcomes.

You will work between Monday and Friday in person, coordinating with agencies and landlords, reviewing leases, and maintaining comprehensive case files to support clients toward lasting housing stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services preferred.
• Preference for degrees in social work, sociology or psychology.
• Class C driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct advocacy and case management to eligible recipients per HUD guidelines.
• Arrange rental and utility assistance, including fees, deposits and monthly payments.
• Coordinate with Housing Authorities, landlords and providers of affordable housing.
• Maintain client housing plans and document progress in systems/databases.
• Review leases with clients prior to execution and ensure understanding of housing rights.
• Complete housing inspections and manage move-in/discharge within required timelines.
• Meet monthly with supervisor to review expenditures and outcomes for enrolled clients.
• Travel within service area to meet clients and deliver services Monday–Friday.
