ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The mission of Family Promise North Shore Boston is to prevent and end family homelessness. We promote access to economic opportunity and housing stability through a holistic, family-centered, community-based response.
Family Promise North Shore Boston (FPNSB) seeks a full-time Housing Case Manager to assist families in preventing homelessness or finding safe alternatives to shelter. This Case Manager will manage a caseload of at least 15 long-term clients at any given time, as well as a rotating, short-term client caseload of at least 5. Caseload will vary based on the number of requests for assistance and the level of engagement from each client. Capacity to take on fewer or more client cases will be discussed and determined in supervision and case conferencing. Graduates of the prevention program are offered stabilization services from this Case Manager for up to 6 months after they access housing. The position will work in close collaboration with the program staff to ensure all families in need of financial assistance to prevent their homelessness are being served effectively and in a timely manner.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Hybrid work schedule . The person in this role will be most effective if they can work from the office at least two days per week, according to a schedule that the employee will set for themselves in coordination with client availability. Home visits or visits to other organizations with or on behalf of clients are sometimes necessary. Additional days in the office will be expected when staff needs arise. These days will be coordinated among staff and based on availability. Prospective candidates will need reliable internet access in order to fulfill the job responsibilities if they plan to work some days from home. Candidates will also need reliable transportation to and from the office and client appointments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Ability to travel back & forth between home, office, and off site appointments. Ability to access, input and retrieve information from a computer. Ability to answer phones, maintain multiple files.
