Essential Functions of the Housing Case Manager:

  • Engage families in developing and implementing their Housing Stability plan using positive youth/human development, trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate frameworks.
  • Spend at least 40% of working hours providing quality in-person case management services.
  • Complete documentation timely in client records, complying with program, county, state, federal regulations, and grant requirements.
  • Generate housing opportunities, assist in locating suitable apartments meeting standards, and support families in transitioning into housing.
  • Attend and complete required external and internal agency trainings and workshops (e.g., PA Mandated Reporter, Trauma-Informed Care, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Fair Housing, Landlord Engagement, Housing Search).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to align with the goals and philosophies of positive youth/human development.
  • Organized with strong multitasking skills.
  • Creative, flexible thinker with adaptable approaches.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and vehicle inspection required; pass annual motor vehicle clearance.
  • Ability to navigate stairs is preferred (some locations may not be handicap accessible).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows; familiarity with databases and Google Suite is desired.
  • No criminal or child abuse convictions.
  • At least two years of experience in case management within human services, including lived experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work involving sitting/standing; occasional movement of objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Never required to move objects over 50 pounds.

*Eligible benefits include medical, vision, and prescription after one month, PTO, 401(k) with employer match, employer-paid clearances and training, tuition assistance, and licensure supervision hours for LCSW and LPC.
