Job summary

Jacksonville Housing is seeking a Housing Assistant to support the Property Manager in daily operations at our Jacksonville, FL properties.

The role includes rent collection, processing work orders, lease administration, inspections, and assisting residents. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, familiarity with MS Office, and at least two years in public housing accounting or related work; you will help maintain compliance and resident relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with ability to use computer to enter data and generate records.
• At least 2 years of experience in public housing property management performing EID and rent calculations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and update financial and other records, including rent collections.
• Process rent adjustments and late charges, and post charges.
• Maintain tenant files and records of eligibility.
• Coordinate vacancy preparation to minimize vacant units.
• Assist with lease signings and deposits.
• Generate work orders and ensure timely repairs and inspections.
