Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking an HDRS Specialist to ensure shelter and drop-in center environments are welcoming and safe. You will document, report outcomes, and employ de-escalation techniques in crises, while engaging clients with inclusive, culturally humble practice.

This is a full-time role based in Pittsburgh. The position emphasizes housing placement, recovery support, and comprehensive case management, with a strong focus on safety, reporting, and collaboration with community partners.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's or Associate's or HS diploma with extensive relevant experience is required.
• Clearances must be current (Act 33/34/73).
• Pre-employment drug screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Housing placement: coordinate with landlords, property managers, and housing authorities.
• Recovery support: provide individualized resources for homelessness-related challenges.
• Case management: conduct assessments, develop and monitor housing/recovery plans, referrals.
• Documentation and reporting: maintain records and prepare required reports.
