Pittsburgh Mercy seeks a Program Specialist to engage shelter guests and drop-in center participants, building supportive relationships and identifying individual needs. The role supports operations by assisting Supervisors and HDRS Specialists while supervising guests during shifts.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in human services, 4+ years’ homelessness/behavioral health experience, and certifications/clearances as specified. Non-exempt hourly schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field is required.
• 4+ years’ experience working with persons experiencing homelessness or behavioral health needs.
• Act 33/34 and FBI clearances; pre-employment drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Engage shelter guests and drop-in center participants in services and build supportive relationships.
• Assist Supervisors, Team Leads, and HDRS Specialists while overseeing shelter guests and participants.
• Complete shift documentation, conduct facility rounds and safety checks, respond to needs of persons served.

Formation
