Job summary

Empower Tehama seeks an experienced Housing Assistant to support housing programs, clients, and staff. The nonprofit offers crisis intervention, advocacy, legal services, housing assistance, and counseling in rural Northern California.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, documenting services, and assisting with transportation and meetings. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel is required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Full-time, some weekends may be needed.

• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Excellent listening and communication skills; ability to work with high-risk populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing program support to clients and staff.
• Assist with housing facility upkeep and documentation of services.
• Arrange advocacy, accompaniment, and transportation for housing participants as needed.
• Participate in meetings and crisis hotline activities; support fund-raising and donations processing.
