Job summary

YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish is seeking a full-time Landlord Engagement Specialist in Edmonds, WA. This role is vital in providing housing search assistance and engaging landlords to facilitate housing placements for individuals transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in social services or experience in property management, as well as strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. This position supports a commitment to racial and social justice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field, or 3 years of experience in property management, housing services.
• Understanding of homelessness and trauma-related issues, particularly for BIPOC communities.
• Experience building relationships with landlords and negotiating lease terms.

Responsibilities

• Meet clients to complete intake paperwork and assess eligibility for housing.
• Establish relationships with landlords to advocate for clients.
• Provide supportive services and resolve barriers to securing housing.
