Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Las Vegas seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to coordinate housekeeping functions in assigned sections and cover for the Housekeeping Manager in their absence. You will inspect performance, ensure standards, and maintain daily records to support guest satisfaction.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 2–3 years of hotel experience with supervisory duties preferred, and the ability to communicate effectively with all staff and guests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Requires bending and reaching.
• Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
• Requires eye/hand coordination.
• Requires use of standard cleaning equipment.
• Requires basic math.
• Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Room Attendant’s work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure standards and productivity are met.
• In absence of Housekeeping Manager inspect VIP rooms and report availability.
• Oversee closing of floors and restocking of carts.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and submit to Housekeeping Office on time.
• Handle Lost and Found items according to standards.
• Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of carts, linen closets and stairways.
• Oversee daily assignment of duties for Room Attendants and House Attendants.
• Carry an active pager/radio to stay in contact with Front Office/Engineering.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager.
• Initiate work orders for repairs and follow through to completion.
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
• May clean rooms as needed.
• Ensure completion of cleaning projects biannually.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
