Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to coordinate housekeeping functions across assigned sections and cover for the Housekeeping Manager when needed.

You will oversee room attendants, inspect VIP rooms, manage daily assignments, train staff, and maintain records. Eligible applicants should have a High School diploma and prior supervisory hotel experience; a competitive hourly wage and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Room Attendant’s work performance daily to ensure standards and productivity.
• In absence of Manager, inspect VIP rooms and coordinate with Front Office.
• Oversee closing of floors and restocking of carts.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and sign off timely.
• Maintain key control and Lost and Found procedures.
• Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, closets, stairways and landings.
• Assign daily duties to Room Attendants and House Attendants.
• Carry pager/radio to stay in contact with Front Office and Engineering.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager.
• Initiate work orders for repairs and follow through until completion.
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
