Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for Residence Inn Bothell. The role oversees housekeeping functions, coordinates duties, and acts as Manager in their absence to maintain standards and service quality.

The position requires a High School diploma (college coursework helpful), 2–3 years hotel experience, and supervisory ability. You may be needed to clean rooms or train staff to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required. College coursework in related field helpful.
• At least two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Room Attendant's work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure standards are met.
• In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant, inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office.
• Oversee closing of floors, ensure carts are clean and restocked.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and submit to Housekeeping Office on time.
• Maintain key control.
• Handle Lost and Found items per standards.
• Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of carts, linen closets, closets, stairs and landings.
• Oversee daily assignment of duties and ensure staff carry a work assignment.
• Carry pager/radio to stay in contact with Front Office/Engineering.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager; follow up on work orders.
