Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for a part-time, hourly role at Residence Inn Lynnwood. Lead housekeeping tasks, mentor staff, and ensure high cleanliness standards across assigned sections.

The role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with Front Office and Engineering. Responsibilities include inspecting staff performance, overseeing end-of-day floor closures, maintaining records, and participating in training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Room Attendant's work performance daily to ensure standards and productivity.
• In absence of Manager, inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office.
• Oversee end-of-day closing of floors and restocking of carts.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and submit to Housekeeping Office on time.
• Maintain key control and handle Lost and Found items.
• Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, closets, stairways and landings.
• Assign duties to Room Attendants and House Attendants.
• Maintain contact with Front Office/Engineering via pager/radio during shift.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager.
• Initiate work orders for repairs and follow through until completion.
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
• May be required to clean rooms as needed.
• Ensure completion of cleaning projects biannually.
