Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to oversee the Housekeeping Department, ensuring attentive, friendly, and efficient service while maintaining a clean, safe environment for guests. The role emphasizes managing expenses, staffing, and maintaining Highgate standards across all areas of the property.

The successful candidate will supervise housekeeping personnel, conduct interviews, and ensure compliance with SOPs and training programs.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in a hotel or related field is required or a 4-year college degree.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing is expected.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests, problems, complaints and accidents with courtesy and efficiency.
• Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline housekeeping staff per SOPs.
• Maintain cleaning schedules, checklists, and inventory controls for housekeeping operations.
• Balance room status and payroll-related hours; support scheduling and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security procedures; monitor VIP rooms and special requests.
