Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality in Asheville, NC seeks a skilled Housekeeping Supervisor to supervise, direct, assist, and assure the completion of housekeeping tasks for Room Attendants, Lobby Attendants, and Housepersons across guest rooms, corridors, and public spaces. You will mentor staff and maintain Driftwood’s high standards of cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• A positive, approachable leadership style that motivates and develops others.
• The ability to multitask, solve problems, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as business needs require.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Ability to read and write basic English to complete forms such as a room status report.
• Ability to provide clear direction and guidance to subordinates.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support housekeeping team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and presentation.
• Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure standards are met or exceeded.
• Coordinate daily room assignments, cleaning priorities, and team productivity.
• Train, coach, and develop housekeeping associates in collaboration with the Executive Housekeeper.
• Work with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure rooms are guest-ready and issues are resolved quickly.
• Monitor supplies, linens, and equipment while helping control costs and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Jump in and support the team wherever needed.
