Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management seeks a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee Room Attendants, Lobby Attendants and Housepersons, ensuring safety and high standards of cleanliness across guest rooms and public spaces.

You will lead, train, and motivate the housekeeping team, manage shifts, inspect areas for quality, and coordinate with other hotel departments to meet service expectations. This AM-shift role requires strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred.
• Minimum six months supervisory experience or one year of comparable housekeeping experience is acceptable.
• Ability to read and write basic English to complete forms such as a room status report.
• Ability to provide clear direction, instruction, and guidance to subordinates.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to exercise judgment and implement control over the performance of subordinates.
• Ability to provide information and answer hotel guest and colleague questions.
• Time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect VIP rooms, guest rooms and corridors for cleanliness and appearance.
• Train and monitor performance of room attendants and housepersons, providing organization, instruction, guidance, and ensuring tasks are completed within the shift.
• Ensure carts and linen/supply closets are clean, neat, and stocked according to guidelines.
• Report maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors.
• Expedite special guest requests, such as extra towels, blankets or pillows.
• Check all vacant/ready/stay over rooms daily and daily check out of order rooms.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
• Assist other housekeeping personnel when needed.
