Housekeeping Supervisor / Inspector

What You'll Do

As a Housekeeping Supervisor / Inspector, you'll oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping team while ensuring guest rooms and public areas consistently meet hotel and brand standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and brand standards are met.
• Supervise, support, and motivate Room Attendants, Housemen, and Public Area Attendants throughout each shift.
• Assign daily work and monitor productivity to ensure timely completion of all assignments.
• Ensure guest rooms are ready for arrival according to hotel occupancy needs.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and service recovery opportunities.
• Report maintenance concerns and coordinate with the Engineering team to resolve issues.
• Ensure all team members follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and proper cleaning practices.
• Assist with cleaning rooms or public areas when operational needs require.
• Complete daily inspection reports, room status updates, and other required documentation.
• Partner with the Front Office and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience required.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and hotel operations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to use hotel property management systems and basic computer programs is a plus.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

This is an active leadership position that requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the hotel.
• Frequently bend, reach, kneel, and climb stairs.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Inspect guest rooms thoroughly, including bathrooms, furniture, linens, and fixtures.
• Occasionally assist with housekeeping duties during busy periods.
