Job summary

The Metropolitan at The 9 in Cleveland, OH seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor / Inspector to oversee daily housekeeping operations, inspect rooms and public areas, and ensure brand standards while leading a team of room attendants and public area staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate will have prior hotel housekeeping supervisory experience, strong communication, detail orientation, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous hotel housekeeping supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning standards and hotel operations.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and brand standards are met.
• Supervise, support, and motivate room Attendants, housemen, and public area staff each shift.
• Assign daily work and monitor productivity to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
• Ensure guest rooms are ready for arrival according to occupancy needs.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and service recovery opportunities.
• Report maintenance concerns and coordinate with Engineering to resolve issues.
• Ensure all team members follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and cleaning practices.
• Assist with cleaning rooms or public areas when needed.
• Complete daily inspection reports and room status updates.
