Job summary

Sheraton in Richmond, VA is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to help supervise department personnel and fill in during the Executive Housekeeper's absence. The ideal candidate is organized, professional and motivated, capable of working well alone or as part of a team and mindful of deadlines.

Responsibilities include inspecting guest rooms and public areas, guiding housekeeping and laundry staff to high cleanliness standards, training and coaching staff, submitting maintenance work orders, and

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency as required.
• Prior experience as a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role.
• Customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas. Ensure VIP rooms are inspected ASAP
• Assist with leadership and direction for housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness for both the guest rooms and public areas
• Train, motivate, and coach staff members with a friendly and nurturing style
• Submit work orders to maintenance department
• Ensure that operational and safety procedures are followed
• Ensure housekeeping requests from guests or management are responded to in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner
• Perform the work of housekeeping and laundry personnel when necessary
• Perform other job related duties as assigned
