Overview: The Housekeeping Supervisor at Homewood Suites Portsmouth is responsible for managing housekeeping functions in assigned sections and stepping in for the Housekeeping Manager when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect Room Attendant’s work daily to ensure standards and productivity are met.
• In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, inspect VIP rooms and report their status to the Front Office.
• Oversee nightly closing procedures, ensuring carts are clean and stocked.
• Complete and submit daily assignment records on time.
• Maintain key control and handle Lost and Found items according to standards.
• Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, and public areas.
• Assign daily duties to staff and ensure proper coverage.
• Stay in contact with the Front Office and Engineering via pager/radio.
• Report on out-of-order rooms and follow up on repairs.
• Assist in training staff and may need to clean rooms as needed.
• Ensure biannual cleaning projects are completed and guest satisfaction is maintained.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of progressive hotel or related experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand all shift and communicate effectively with staff and guests.
