Job description

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is located within the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. It is part of a new development featuring 17 ski lifts, around 1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with approximately 1,350 rooms, about 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest "ski beaches" globally.

The hotel offers 436 luxury accommodations, including 381 guest rooms and 55 residential units, along with approximately 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space. Amenities include a lobby-level three-meal restaurant and bar, a signature bar, pool and après-ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool, three whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area.

Housekeeping Supervisor Role

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees supervisory duties within the Housekeeping department, coordinating with management. Responsibilities include inspecting guest rooms, counseling and interviewing employees, resolving guest complaints, and handling general office duties. Candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of hotel experience, excellent communication skills, and basic computer skills. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Minimum Requirements

• Exceptional attention to cleanliness and detail to meet high standards
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment used in hotel housekeeping
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus, especially in a diverse, international setting
• Proficiency in housekeeping management software and basic computer skills
• Leadership and motivational skills, with strong organizational and delegation abilities
• At least 2-3 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or resort, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
