About The Role

The Housekeeping Supervisor is an entry level management position who helps oversee the Housekeeping Department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and guest satisfaction. This position will directly supervise the Housekeeping team, inspecting rooms, special project work, and other daily tasks crucial to the smooth operation of the Housekeeping Department. The Housekeeping Supervisor must communicate regularly with the Front Desk team to provide updated room statuses to accommodate arriving guests. They will be heavily involved in the training of the new associates, emphasizing that OKANA

cleanliness standards are adhered to with a premium on working safely in all areas.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Monitors payroll hours and reports.
  • Assures property operation meets internal audit standards.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership, which inspires employees to meet and exceed

standards.

  • Maintain work areas neat and organized.
  • Maintain inventory of guestrooms and housekeeping supplies including all month-end inventories.
  • Promote employee empowerment.
  • Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Select, train, supervise, schedule, develop, discipline, and counsel employees

according to Davidson policies and procedures.

  • Completes reports (i.e., forecasts, annual budgets, action plans, etc.).
  • Follow through on guest complaints and requests regarding room services and

ensure the appropriate follow-up with guests.

  • Inspect property guestrooms, linen rooms, public areas, and all office space to

ensure company standards of housekeeping are being maintained.

  • Perform in the capacity of any person supervised to include cross training.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Inspect rooms for VIP arrivals.

What You Bring To The Role

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of housekeeping operations experience, with at least 1 year as a supervisor
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Spanish speaker is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in property management system used to distribute workload and report room statuses.
  • Exceptional customer service skills to interact and handle guest situations.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housekeeping operations.
