Job summary

Kitron Group is seeking a reliable Housekeeping professional to support our Windber, PA facility on the on-site second shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30 p.m.–11:30 p.m.). Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, trash removal, floor care, and general maintenance to maintain a safe, orderly manufacturing environment at our EMS site.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED, have strong English communication, are safety-conscious, and can operate cleaning tools and chemicals effectively.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Able to read and communicate in English.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and safe work practices.
  • Ability to use cleaning tools and chemicals effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Monitor building security and safety; lock doors after hours.
  • Notify managers about major repairs or safety concerns.
  • Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment.
  • Clean windows, partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
  • Requisition supplies or equipment for cleaning and maintenance.
  • Dust furniture, machines, or equipment.
  • Set up or remove decorations and furniture for events.

About The Role

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/ FUNCTIONS

  • Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Clean building floors by sweeping mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours or checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.
  • Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Dust furniture, machines, or equipment.
  • Clean furniture and fixtures.
  • Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings.
  • Follows 5S procedures.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/ Ksa

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Skilled at giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Skilled at effectively communicating verbally and in writing in English
  • Knowledge of safety regulations
  • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
  • Ability to use various cleaning tools and chemicals in which to accomplish tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Microsoft Office software.
  • Basic maintenance skills

WORKING CONDITIONSTypical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
