Purpose of the Role

Orlando Vitality Hotel is looking for a Housekeeping Manager with excellent customer service skills to join our team. This role will supervise the housekeeping crew, ensuring high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and lobbies. The manager will report to the Head of Hotel Operations and collaborate to maintain high housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, including performance evaluations, training, and development
• Assist in developing the department's annual budget
• Participate in cost control for staffing, inventories, linen, supplies, and cleaning materials
• Enforce policies and procedures within the department
• Ensure quality service and guest satisfaction
• Direct hourly associates and contract labor
• Prepare daily assignment sheets
• Maintain cleanliness standards in guest rooms, public areas, and facilities
• Inspect and report on cleanliness, taking action to remedy issues
• Manage guest feedback and service scores
• Maintain inventory, ordering supplies as needed
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas
• Maintain departmental key control and deep cleaning programs
• Complete projects assigned by leadership

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities, and Experience

• Ability to interpret policies and make decisions based on reports and experience
• Excellent tact and courtesy when dealing with guests and staff
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Ability to handle interruptions and changing priorities
• Clear communication skills
• Full responsibility for management activities
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish

Physical Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 4 years of hotel experience, including supervisory roles
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work weekends and holidays; ability to commute/relocate to the site
