Job summary

Navy Exchange is seeking a Housekeeping Lead at NGIS Norfolk to supervise and inspect housekeeping teams across guest rooms, public spaces, and related areas. The position requires leadership capabilities, a high school diploma or equivalent, and readiness to obtain NHG certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 6 months housekeeping experience preferred.
• Leadership and/or training experience beneficial.
• Must possess a valid state driver9 license to travel between lodging facilities.
• NHG housekeeping certification within 6 months of employment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect housekeeping team duties and ensure program standards are met.
• Train new associates and answer questions on policies and procedures.
• Maintain schedules, assign tasks, and report status to supervisor.
• Ensure efficient cleaning methods and availability of supplies and linen.
• Conduct daily room and area inspections and maintain records.
• Greet guests and maintain outstanding guest relations.
• Handle comments and resolve issues with tact and diplomacy.
