Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) North Island NHG is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to manage housekeeping staff and uphold NHG standards at North Island. The role includes overseeing laundry operations and ensuring daily tasks align with program commitments.

The position emphasizes training on proper methods and safety, coordination with front desk and maintenance, and accountability for room readiness and inventory control. Strong leadership is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping and supervisory roles preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises housekeeping staff, laundry attendants and leads to ensure NHG standards.
• Uses PMS for daily housekeeping reports and staff scheduling.
• Coordinates with front desk and maintenance to prepare rooms for occupancy.
• Conducts daily inspections of rooms and carts, and documents results.
• Trains staff on proper methods and safety procedures; ensures SDS and environmental requirements are met.
• Manages storeroom security and procurement of supplies; inventories regularly.
• Inspects rooms daily for NHG standards and coordinates maintenance work orders.
• Evaluates performance and handles leave approvals and disciplinary actions.
• Addresses guest and staff feedback and resolves issues tactfully.
• Performs duties of attendants when needed and supports staff shortages.
