Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) Newport seeks a working leader in housekeeping to supervise Attendants, train staff, and uphold program standards across guest rooms, public spaces, and storage areas. You will manage cleaning tasks and coordinate supplies, ensuring safety and quality throughout the facility.

The role emphasizes leadership, on-the-job training, and proactive guest service in a busy lodging environment at Navy Gateway Inn and Suites and Navy Lodge properties.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months housekeeping experience preferred.
• Leadership and/or training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping duties and supervise Attendants under supervision.
• Train new associates and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness standards for guest rooms, public areas, and storage spaces.
• Ensure supplies and linen inventory are adequate and ordered as needed.
• Greet guests and maintain outstanding guest relations during shifts.
• Inspect rooms and areas to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
