Job summary

Maine Veterans’ Homes in Machias is seeking a reliable Housekeeping & Laundry Aide on a per diem basis to support flexible scheduling and provide a clean, safe environment for residents.

You will perform housekeeping and laundry tasks, follow infection control procedures, and work with a supportive team to meet daily needs, with opportunities to access earned wages early through Tapcheck.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, and bathrooms
• Perform routine housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and trash removal
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and linens

Position Summary

The Housekeeping & Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role supports both housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure high standards of cleanliness and infection control.

Key Responsibilities
