Job summary

Loews Kansas City Hotel is seeking an organized Dispatcher for the Housekeeping team to act as the central communication hub, coordinating requests and maintaining room-status updates. You will ensure timely, accurate information flows between departments to deliver a clean, welcoming guest environment.

The role emphasizes staying calm under pressure, excellent communication, and meticulous task tracking, with opportunities to grow within a premier downtown property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in hotel or resort environment preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and radio communications to facilitate clear, timely communication between housekeeping and other departments.
• Dispatch tasks and requests to appropriate team members, ensuring guest needs and room statuses are addressed promptly.
• Track and update room status, maintaining accurate logs for Front Office and other departments.
• Monitor room assignments and coordinate with Front Desk to ensure rooms are ready for check-in.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, reconciling daily reports, and maintaining smooth department communications.
• Attend departmental meetings and provide coverage in related areas when necessary.
• Be familiar with hotel facilities and assist guests with accurate information.
• Maintain professional and friendly guest relations and ensure satisfaction.
• Follow OSHA safety protocols and department procedures for emergencies and safe work practices.
• Regular attendance and flexibility to work varying schedules.
