Valley View Health and Rehabilitation, LLC is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment across the facility, supporting resident comfort and safety.

Under the Director of Housekeeping, you will follow established schedules, use approved cleaning agents, and adhere to infection control protocols while contributing to a high standard of cleanliness in resident rooms and common areas.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Patient, tactful, and positive attitude toward elderly and disabled.
• Able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties per schedules.
• Clean, sanitize, dust, damp-wipe, polish, and spot-clean rooms and furnishings.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident room items (beds, rails, nightstands, etc.).
• Follow infection control protocols at all times.
• Ensure high level of cleanliness in rooms and common areas.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the proper department.

Position Overview: Housekeeping Attendant

Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the facility. This role plays a vital part in resident comfort, safety, and overall quality of care by ensuring rooms and common areas meet established cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties in assigned areas according to established schedules
• Clean, sanitize, dust, damp-wipe, polish, and spot-clean resident rooms and furnishings using approved cleaning agents and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of resident room items including beds, bed rails, nightstands, tables, chairs, shelves, light fixtures, TVs, radios, pictures, feeding tables, and door facings
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and infection control protocols at all times
• Ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness throughout resident rooms and common areas
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience preferred
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
• Ability to perform essential job functions, including physical and sensory requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures
