Job summary

Agency Office of State Human Resources Division Temporary Solutions in Raleigh, NC seeks a Housekeeper (S) for a temporary assignment at Governor Morehead School for the Blind. The role runs 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday–Friday, starting July 1, 2025, with hourly pay of $17.00 based on education and experience.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and living areas, disposing of trash, and maintaining sanitary conditions.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures, cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate to follow GMS policy.
  • Basic knowledge of receiving and counting inventory with accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and perform work duties.

  • Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and showers
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing hard surfaces
  • Keeping outside areas neat
  • Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, ensuring they are maintained in sanitary conditions, replenishing paper supplies and soap as needed

This temporary position is located at 301 Ashe Ave, Raleigh, NC 27606 - Wake County, with the Governor Morehead School for the Blind. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). The working shift is 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday- Friday, Effective July 1, 2025. Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed in the class specification.
