Job summary

The Office of State Human Resources, Division Temporary Solutions, seeks a Housekeeper (S) in Raleigh at Governor Morehead School for the Blind. This temporary position covers early morning shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, at 301 Ashe Ave.

You will perform cleaning and sanitizing of living areas, classrooms, offices and restrooms, dispose trash, maintain supplies, and follow GMS policy. Perks include HDHP health insurance eligibility for eligible temporary staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures, cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to understand and follow GMS policy.
• Basic knowledge of receiving and counting inventory with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Picking up all trash from assigned areas and disposing of it properly.
• Cleaning living areas.
• Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and showers.
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing hard surfaces.
• Keeping outside areas neat.
• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, replenishing paper supplies and soap.

Minimum Education and Experience

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
